Soda Fired Oil Cruet #4

$75.00
sold out

Put your favorite olive oil in this handmade cruet, or get a set for oil and vinegar. Perfect for passing around the dinner table or keeping on hand in your kitchen. Each of these hand-carved cruets is one of a kind and the color pattern can never be duplicated due to the nature of soda firing and the colored slips used. During the firing, a mixture of soda ash and water is sprayed into the kiln at 2275 degrees and as it swirls around with the path of the flame, it glazes the pots and creates dramatic effects. Check out this slideshow to better understand the process.
Around 8” tall, 3” wide. Handwashing recommended.
